York is served by a number of comprehensive schools for ages 11-16 and a Sixth Form College. Parents/carers can choose (subject to certain conditions) to which school they send their child.

All children have the opportunity to visit their chosen secondary school and meet a teacher from the school before they leave primary school. Teachers from the secondary schools spend some time with the Year 6 children.

Millthorpe School is the closest to our primary school and most of our children choose to go there.
